White House Animal Hospital

Press Release

White House Animal Hospital Celebrates 25 years in business.

April 2009 marks 25 years of providing White House and the surrounding Sumner, Robertson and Northern Davidson Counties with compassionate, professional veterinary medical and surgical care.

White House, Tennessee March 27, 2009    In February of 1984 there was not a veterinarian within the White House city limits. Dr. Steven Link and wife Penny purchased a lot and small 900 sq. ft. building at 2950 Highway 31 W and in April of the same year opened White House Animal Hospital. In 1990 they expanded the existing building to providing additional surgical and hospital treatment space with a boarding and grooming facility. “Providing the best in thorough compassionate veterinary care to animals has always been our goal,” says Dr. Link. “Our clients like the fact that we were able to provide additional boarding and grooming services to accommodate their pets.”   Dr. Link and wife Penny both graduated from the University of Tennessee with a B.S. in Animal Science and in 1982 Dr. Link received a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine.

Our practice has changed along with the White House community to provide the types of services demanded by our clients.  We have gone from 2 to 13 employees in the last 25 years.  Our staff now includes three animal health technicians, three veterinary assistants, two receptionists, an office manager, a groomer and the three veterinarians. In addition to Dr. Link, Dr. Robin Bertke and Dr. Melissa Stephenson are the other veterinarians at the hospital.

We treat pets like the very important part of people’s family that they are. Through the support of the White House community pet owners, we have been able to offer the best and most technologically current veterinary care available and will hopefully be able to do so for another 25 years.  Thank you White House!
